Fleas

Flea is a common parasite with the length around 2mm whose hosts are animals and human. Fleas live by sucking blood and have the habit of actively leaving their original hosts to find new ones, so they can spread diseases to human. Adult fleas can live without eating anything for 12 months. There are more fleas on hairy pets which are suitable animals for fleas to lay eggs. Fleas may lay eggs under the animal's hair, but also on cloth and carpets. Fleas outside of animals starve to death without blood sucking, but their eggs can survive the winter if they are protected by egg shells. When the flowers bloom in spring, they hatch and return to host animals. So when there are cats and dogs and other pets at home, it is best not to use carpets that are also a hotbed for fleas. In addition, outdoor grass is also a hotbed for fleas to lay eggs, because dogs and cats will play on the grass.

Fleas are difficult to eradicate in a short time, so preventive measures are especially important.
1. Those who keep cats and dogs at home must properly trim their pet's hair, and bathe their pets every week with a detergent that removes fleas. It is better not to use carpets at home.
2. Well ventilate the home, and regularly expose the bedding to the sun.
3. Keep the indoor and outdoor environment clean and tidy, and do not accumulate debris in room, underground garage, etc.. While preventing fleas, please also prevent rats. Don’t close to homeless cats and dogs without protection equipment.
4. To clean the gaps in the walls, sheets and carpets thoroughly and regularly. It is better to use a vacuum cleaner and throw out the garbage in the vacuum cleaner in time.

Once fleas are found at home, they must be dealt with immediately. You can use commercially available insecticide such as organophosphate, carbamate, and pyrethroid to kill fleas. Avoid more toxicity to the environment and people, especially young children. Vacuuming the infected room with a vacuum cleaner can reduce about 60% of eggs and 27% of larvae. At the same time, it can remove food (adult blood feces, animal debris and other organic matter) and dust where fleas live.

PCO LAB provides fleas sprays, which are non-toxic and have no side effects, and are safe for pets and children.
