Flies

Flies are the most common harmful insects in our lives. The flies are highly reproductive. Female flies only need to mate once, then they can lay eggs in their lifetime, with a total number of 600-1000 eggs. Flies are omnivorous insects and they can eat many different food. Human food, human and animal secretions and excrements, and plant juices are all food for flies. Flies must spit out the crop fluid to dissolve the food when they eat. Their habit is to eat, vomit, and shit at the same time. This habit makes it easy for flies to carry and spread bacteria. The fly itself is immune to bacteria. Studies result shows that while flies eat, they also eat bacteria, but the flies produce two globulins, BF64 and BD2, to kill bacteria. The bactericidal ability of BF64 and BD2 is a thousand times than penicillin. If humans can extract BF64 and BD2 from flies to treat diseases, it will be a boon to humans. Flies are insects that are active during the day and are phototaxis.

There are physical and chemical methods to control flies at home. The physical method is to keep home clean and kill the few flies that can be seen with a fly swatter. The chemical method is to spray pesticide to flies, fly eggs and larvae.
